QUANTITIES OF DE USED FOR GRAIN PROTECTION

To treat empty grain stores and silos - dust dry, enclosed empty stores, transport containers, silos and smaller grain bins with a covering of DE before refilling with fresh grain.

200g per 3 cubic metres as a guideline. A blower or fan can be used for silos to cover the whole area (protective dust masks should be worn when applying dust in this manner)

125g per 3 sq metres as a top dressing mixed thoroughly into the top metre of grain in store.

1 kg per tonne of grain as an admix for short periods of storage and for susceptible species, admixed as grain is augered into the store.

2 to 3kg per tonne for longer periods and less susceptible species

THE FOLLOWING FEEDING RATES HAVE BEEN
SUGGESTED BY REGULAR USERS OVER THE YEARS

Cattle	2% by weight of total dry ration or 50% free choice minerals.
Calves	4 grammes per calf in morning milk
Sheep and Goats	2% of the total grain or in the feed ration
Chickens, Pheasant, Turkey, Geese etc	5% in feed. Use at full strength in dusting boxes.
Exotic Birds (Parrots)	1-2 cups mixed with 20Kgs seeds and pellets
Pigs	2% in total feed ration
Horses	1 cup (140 grammes) in daily feed ration
Dogs	One tablespoon per day for dogs over 55lbs One teaspoon per day for small dogs.
Cats	One small teaspoon per day
